We took a trip to Madison Indiana to visit Clifty Falls State Park. This is a nice park that has a couple of waterfalls which I love. They say on their website that the falls change moods with the weather and the seasons and can range from roaring plunges to delicate bridal- veil mist to gleaming frozen titans. They say that Spring and Winter is the best time to visit the falls. When we were there I think the falls were in a bad mood because there were hardly any falls. I guess it was because they have not had a lot of rain. Even if the falls where not as good as I was hoping this is still a beautiful park. But if you are planning on visiting there is a few things you should know. First there is a lot of walking and there is a lot of stairs. This would be really hard if you have a child that is in a stroller. If you have someone who is a wheelchair I don't see anyway they could go though the trail they have. The other thing is this place has a cave and if you are planning on going through it make sure you take a flashlight with you.
Clifty Falls offer camping and they also have a restaurant in the park. All in all this is a really beautiful park. We did not do all the trails because when we went it was around 95 outside and humid. We are planning on going back in the Winter and we will be walking more of the trails that we didn't go on before.
While we were there we did go through the cave. The cave does close certain times of the year.
Also on the way up the hill to the park we passed this really neat rock formation on the side of the road that you can park your car under. It was so pretty.
Clifty Falls is located at 1501 Green Road. Madison, Indiana.
