Niederman Farm Christmas Display

We recently went to Niederman farm to see their walk through Christmas display. This is a neat display that they have. It has different scenes from the Bible telling the story of Jesus birth.
This is the first time we have been and I look forward to going back next year. They have thousand of lights that light up the walk way. They play Christmas music as you are walking through to put you in the spirit. They also have a life size nativity scene which was so pretty and makes you realize the true meaning of Christmas.
They also have some barn animals that you can visit with. After your walk you can go to the barn to get warm and have free hot chocolate and cookies, that is their gift to you. This is a free event but they do accept donations. The path is wheelchair accessible. This is a very thoughtful thing that they do and for free. It makes you realize what the true meaning of Christmas is and also that there is still some wonderful kind people who open up their farm and go through all of the work of decorating it just to bring cheer and happiness to other people. If you have the chance check them out. I am sure you will love it and get in the Christmas spirit.
While we were there this little cat kept following us all over the place so I decided to get my picture taken with him after that he went off and we didn't see him again. I guess he just wanted his picture taken. He was so cute and sweet and you know me and my love for animals.
They are open till December 30th every Sunday-Thursday from 6:00-9:00 PM. and Friday and Saturday from 6:00-10:00 PM.
They are located at 5110 Lesourdsville West Chester Road. Hamilton, Ohio.

The Washington Opera House

The Washington Opera House

Today(Dec 15th 2015) we went to Maysville, Kentucky and visited The Washington Opera House. We met up with Mike Thomas, whom was very friendly and hospitable: genuinely happy to accommodate our request for a tour on short notice (I called Mike on Monday). On our tour, Mike was very knowledgeable with the history of the Opera House and the community around it. Going into detail about the building, we felt as if we were going back in time. The Opera House is welcoming, down to the original tile in the foyer. We heard about past actors/actresses who have visited and/or actually preformed there such as Tom Mix, Harry Houdini to the present likes of Rich Little and George Clooney. Today, it is run by The Maysville Players and shows are put on about 5 times a year. So if you're in Maysville, stop by the Opera House and obtain a schedule of future shows, or call Mike to set up a tour.

Misfit Toys at White Oak Garden

I am a big fan of White Oak Garden center. We always get our pumpkins and poinsettia's there. They have the nicest employees of any place I have been and they provide the best customer service. If you have seen any of my other post about them then you would have seen they have hay bales that they decorate all the time. They have been everything from the Minions ( my favorite ) to Charlie Brown. They always decorate their garden center so nice and fun. Well for Christmas they did their hay bales in the  Land of Misfit Toys and it was so neat. They do an excellent job on them. Their whole places is so pretty and will put you in the Holiday spirit. They have their BIG chair that you can sit in for photos well it has been transferred into Santa. This is a great place to go and have some family photos taken. The people who work there encourage you to take pics and share them on their Facebook page.
If you have not been to White Oak then you really need to pay this place a visit, I am sure you will love it as much as we do.
They are located at 3579 Blue Rock Road. Cincinnati, Ohio.
