Up and Coming Country Group Jetset Getset

I want to do a post about a very talented group of young people called Jetset Getset. They are an up and coming country group who has already released their first CD. They have also payed at numerous places as well as at the country music festival Buckle Up.
Doug was fortunate enough to be hired as their photographer at Buckle Up.
I think everyone should check them out. They have videos on YouTube and they are on Facebook also.
Look them up and see if they are playing in your area, if they are go and watch them. I think you will love them. All photos are the copyright of Doug

Buckle Up Music Festival in Cincinnati, Ohio

On July 18, 19, and 20th at Sawyer Point in Cincinnati, Ohio was the Buckle Up Music Festival. This was a really neat country Music Festival that had everyone from Alabama, The Band Perry, The Eli Young Band to Willie Nelson playing.
Doug was hired by one of the up and coming young music groups Jetset Getset to be their photographer at the festival. He was given a media pass for me and him. With the media pass photographers were able to get up next to the stage and take photos. It was an amazing experience.
I think this festival is a really neat thing they are doing in Cincinnati. This is the first year for Buckle Up to be in Cincinnati but they have already announced their dates for next year and I know I will be there.
Check out Buckle Up on their twitter page and website to see when it is next year and who will be performing.
Disclaimer: I am not getting paid to do this post but I did receive a free three day pass to the festival and the media pass.

Super Group Alabama at Buckle Up Music Festival

On July 18,2014, I had one of the most AMAZING experience of my life. The Buckle Up Music Festival was in Cincinnati, Ohio. Buckle Up is a 3 day country music experience. There had everyone from Willie Nelson to The Band Perry playing.
Doug was hired by a new up and coming young group called Jestset Getset to be their photographer  so he was able to get a media pass for all three days for him and another person so since I have been his assistant the other pass went to me. With the media pass you were able to go down and stand right up against the stage and take photos.
I have been a fan of the group Alabama for 30 years, so I was beyond excited when I was able to be so close to Randy Owen that I could touch him.
To say I was in heaven is an understatement, I have been to alot of their concerts and that is the closets I have came to them onstage. It was really a dream come true. I can not thank Buckle Up enough for this amazing experience.

Georgetown, Ohio

When we went to see Ulysses S. Grant school and boyhood home, we went around the town of Georgetown, Ohio. This is a very neat little town. It reminds me of the old time towns that had the really cool little shops and a pharmacy that has a little bit of everything. The drive to get there is beautiful. It is very scenic.
There is also a old historic train depot. If you are going to see where Ulysses S. Grant went to school and his childhood home make sure you take some time and check out the town. Walk around and look at some of the shops and the architect.

Ulysses S Grant Boyhood Home

When we took a tour of Grant's boyhood school house, we also toured his boyhood home. This is a beautiful house that holds alot of history.
It is also neat to know that Ulysses lived in this house longer then any other house in his lifetime.
The tour guide we had at the house was very nice and gave us alot of information about the house and the Grant's. After your guided tour you are allowed to go back through the house and look around and take photos.
We had a great time on this tour and learning more about our 18th President. There is a animatronic display of Ulysses when he was 15 but it was not working when we were there:(
The house also has the original crib on display that Ulysses used as a baby.
The thing I found to be very strange was in the hall way where you would come in the front door they had Ulysses hat on a table. There is no light in that part of the room and no windows. When we were walking around on our own, I had Doug take a picture of me wearing the hat. In the picture there is like this fog all around me. After we downloaded the pictures, I enlarged that pic to look at it bigger and in the door there is an image of a face. I wonder if Ulysses doesn't like people touching his hat.
I would recommend that everyone who loves history take this tour.
The house is located at 219 East Grant Avenue. Georgetown, Ohio
It is $3.00 to take the tour and that covers the tour for his boyhood schoolhouse also.
Declaimer: I am not getting paid nor did I receive anything for doing this post.
