General Butler State Resort Park

While in Carrollton, we stopped by the General Butler State park. This is a beautiful park. It has over 791 acres surrounding a 30 acre lake. It has lodge rooms, cabins and playgrounds. It also has a overlook but when we were there it was closed because they were cutting trees down, so I was a little disappointed. The park also has a golf course that has the most handsome little metal golf man..lol... You can also go boating, swimming, walk the nature trail, or fishing. They also have miniature golf and miniature train rides. As you drive through the park you can see the historic Butler-Turpin house. It is a beautiful house. This is a very pretty park and well worth the visit.
