The Santa Maria

On October 12,2013, we went to Columbus, Ohio for a hockey game ( more on that in the next blog post ). While we were waiting till time for the hockey game we went and toured the Santa Maria ship. I was amazed by the history of this ship. The Santa Maria is the world's most authentic, museum quality replica of Christopher Columbus ship. The tour guide we had was very informed. She made the tour even more fun. Now if you know me personally you know I am in love with Captain Jack Sparrow, so while I was on this ship I was channeling my inner Captain Jack..lol..
It was a neat experience to see and hear how Christoper Columbus and his crew lived on this ship. You get to go on the ship and go down underneath it and also up on top of it. We also got to see the Captain quarters.
If you are in Columbus I would highly recommend you check this ship out. It is only $ 4.50 for adults, $ 4.00 for seniors, and $ 3.50 for kids( age 5 to 17 ) to tour it and it is well worth it. The tour takes about 45 minutes to a hour.
The Santa Maria is located at 25 Marconi Blvd. Columbus, Ohio.

Boston Bruins Hockey Game

                                           ( oh yeah #37 bottom right )

On October 12, 2013, we went to Columbus, Ohio to Nationwide Arena to watch my all time favorite hockey team play The Boston Bruins!!!! I am a BIG BIG fan of Boston Bruins and I am not going to lie I am also a BIG BIG fan of #37 Patrice Bergeron ( it doesn't hurt that he is good to look at either..lol.). This is the 2nd time we have went to Columbus to see the Bruins play the Columbus Bluejackets and both times the Bruins have won!! This time they won 3 to 1. I have to give credit were credit is deserved, both times we have been to the Nationwide Arena for the hockey game all the Bluejackets fans we have came into contact with all have been really nice even with us decked out in our Boston jerseys. The people who work at the Arena are also nice to us Boston fans. If you are a hockey fan go check out the Nationwide Arena. And if you are a Boston Fan and a Patrice Bergeron fan then you are an awesome person..lol..

Left Bank Coffeehouse

The other day when I left the cancer Dr. we stopped by Left Bank Coffeehouse. I am always looking for new family owned business to check out and when you add coffee to that I am there. This is a really neat coffeehouse. It is so pretty and the service was outstanding. These had to be the most friendly people I have met. I love how you can sit outside, they have it set up so pretty.
I had a strawberry smoothie and let me just say in my opinion this was a 100 times better then Starbucks and I am a BIG fan of Starbucks. Doug had a Chai Latte and a cranberry scones. He said they both were really good. I also bought my little man Happy a doggie biscuit and he loved it. Left Bank Coffeehouse is located on the left bank of both the Ohio and the Licking Rivers in Covington, Ky. They are in the historic Licking Riverside District of Covington.
Make sure you check them out if you are near there. I am sure you will love them.
Their address is 7th and Greenup. Covington, Ky.

Cabana On The River

We had lunch at Cabana On The River and if you are looking for a great place to go check them out. The food was amazing and you get a lot of it. I loved the view of the river. The service was great . They also have a Tiki Bar. The only thing is they are only opened during the spring and summer months, so next year be sure to check them out.
They are located at 7445 Forbes Road. Cincinnati, Ohio.
