We went to LumenoCity at Music Hall and let me just say this was an amazing light show. This was the first year that Music Hall has done this and I really hope they do it again next year. If you have never heard of LumenoCity it is where they did a light show that used the historic Music Hall as the back drop. It was to also welcome the new conductor of the Symphony Orchestra Louis Langree. They had the light show on Saturday and Sunday night August 3rd and 4th at Washington Park in Cincinnati. On Saturday they had between 12,000-15,000 people show up. We went to the Sunday night show and they had around 20,000 people. The show started at 8:30pm with the Cincinnati Ballet and the Cincinnati Pop's performing. That was followed by Mr. Louis Langree and the Symphony that provided the music that went with the light show and neither Mr. Langree or the light show disappointed. It was truly an amazing thing to see. It was nice the Music hall and all the people that put so much time and work into this show did this for free. It was so breath taken and pretty. At the end of the show when everyone stood up to give the standing ovation the lights made it look like Music Hall was taken a bow.
There was a lot of people there but we did not experience any trouble at all and we were able to get to our car and on the road home without a long wait. All in all this was an amazing night and I will go back if they have it next year. If they do have it next year, I will most likely go to both shows just in case I missed something the first time and to take more pictures and videos. If they do have it next year and you decide to go, get there early and bring a chair or a blanket to sit on. You can bring food or you can buy food from the numerous food trucks that are there.
