Florence Freedom Ball Team

I thought I would do a post on the Florence Freedom Baseball team since the season is getting ready to start soon. I love the Florence Freedom, I have been to numerous  games and have always had a blast. I like going to the Reds game, but I would much rather go to go a Freedom's game. There are so much fun. Florence Freedom is our minor league team. You can get great seat's for an amazing price, everything ( food and gift shop) are all on the same level so no walking up and down all the steps and all over just to get a drink or something to eat. You can get things signed by the players after the games. I have a baseball and a jersey that have been signed by them as well as signed by Liberty himself, the best mascot there is next to Belle, who I might add is a beautiful lady :)
The other thing I love about Florence Freedom is they are always helping those in need and different charities. They have food drives and they also do a Strike Out Cancer night where they wear pink jersey and then auction them off for cancer. On Strike Out Cancer night they have people who have had cancer or still fighting it to come down on the field and they honor them. This is a special thing to me as my mom is a breast cancer survivor and I am fighting leukemia. I was there one year when they did that and I went onto the field, its the little things like that, that makes a huge difference and shows what a great group of men these are.
They also always have things for kids. They have a big play area and they are always having kids coming out onto the field.
All in all this is a great place to go and a great group of people. I know I will be there a lot this year to support them.
Tickets are $10.00 for reserved, $12.00 for dugout, and $14.00 for VIP where you will have a waitress bring you your food and drinks. You can not believe the prices, they are great!!

If you are looking for something fun to do this summer check out a Florence Freedom game I am sure you will love it and have a blast :)
Disclaimer: I am not getting paid to do this post nor am I getting anything from the Florence Freedom. All opinions stated are all my own.

Loveland Castle Visit

Last weekend we  visited the Loveland Castle. I have been here a few times and I love this place. If you know me then you know I love castles. This castle is really amazing to me because the man who built it, built it by hand. It was built by Harry Adams. It is built next to the Little Miami river and is called the Knights of the Golden Trial after the Boy Scouts group Harry use to be in charge of. When he started building the castle he ran out of stones so he created his own stones by filling empty milk cartons with concrete. Harry lived his life in the castle and died there. In 1981, he was burning some trash in front of the castle, when he went to stomp out the flames, his pants caught fire and he died from the wounds he sustained a short time later. You can tour the whole castle and the grounds around it. The people who work there are very friendly and they will tell you anything you want to know about Harry and the castle. The castle is still furnished and you can even see where Harry's room was. This is a beautiful place to have a wedding or just go and spend the day and have a picnic by the river. Also the one thing I love about the place is it is rumored to be haunted. Some of the stories that you will hear about it being haunted is people will see shadows and hear footsteps in some of the rooms. Some people claim they have seen Harry himself. That would  seem right to me since this is the place that he built by hand and loved.
The people who work there are very open about the ghost stories and some of them have their own stories all you have to do is ask.
The castle is located at 12025 Shore Road. Loveland, Ohio.
There is a $3.00 charge per person to tour the castle and all the money goes to keep the upkeep on the castle. They also hold a "haunted house" every October and I think they said the charge for it is $8.00. You can also rent the whole castle to do your own ghost hunting over night for I think $350.00
Their web page is www.lovelandcastle.com
This is a fun place to visit and spend the day. If you are near there or traveling near there be sure to check it out, I am sure you will love it and just remember when you look at it that one man built that whole big castle by hand by himself and who knows maybe he is watching you :)
Disclaimer.. I am not getting paid to do this post nor am I receiving anything for it. We paid to get into the castle.
