We went to the Miamisburg Mound in Miamisburg, Ohio. This is a prehistoric Indian burial mound built by the Adena Culture in about 1000 to 200 BCE. It is the largest conical burial mound in Ohio at nearly 70 feet tall. The mound is located in the city park and there is picnic area and place for kids to play. You can also climb to the top of the mound up the 116 concrete steps. It is worth it to go to the top, the view is amazing from up there.
This is a neat thing to go and see. It is nice to see how through all these years the mound has stayed virtually intact.
The mound is located at 900 Mound Ave.
